The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your submittal dated May 9, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession Number ML24135A293), pertaining to American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO) requesting NRC review and approval of an exemption from criticality accident alarm system monitoring under certain circumstances at the American Centrifuge Plant located in Piketon, Ohio.
We have completed our acceptance review of the submittal. We have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2024-LLA-0070. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 07007004 in any future correspondence associated with this request.
Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by January 31, 2025. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require approximately 140 staff hours which corresponds to $44,380.00 (current rate of
