Dear Sir/Madam:
Orano Federal Services LLC (Orano FS) is providing an updated status on a forthcoming amendment application for the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No.
9341 for the model BRR transportation package [1]. Attached as Enclosure 1 to this letter is a two-page high-level summary of the intended content to be included in the next revision (i.e., Revision 19) of the Safety Analysis Report for the BRR Package, used to update from Revision 18 [2].
This amendment will include content covered in two previous NRC pre-application meetings, regarding 1) LEU fuel element payloads of research reactor fuels and 2) BWR and PWR commercial rod segments in a new Rods-In-Tubes Canister (RITC) basket.
