ACCEPTANCE OF HIGHWAY ROUTE APPROVAL APPLICATION (NRC ROUTE NO.271), DOCKET NUMBER: 070-07011
Dear Mr. Hunt:
On April 19, 2024, Secured Transportation Services (STS) submitted an application to the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), for approval of a route for commercial shipments of spent nuclear fuel (SNF), in accordance with the requirements of Section 73.37(b)(1)(vi) of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR).
I am writing to inform you that the staff has conducted an acceptance review of your SNF route application and determined that it contains sufficient information to begin a detailed technical and security review. Our goal is to complete the review of your application within 45 days of the date of this letter.
