OF MAY 29, 2024, CLOSED MEETING HELD WITH SOUTHERN NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY, INC., REGARDING THE STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INSPECTION REPORT FOR VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNIT 1 (EPID L-2023-LRO-0067)
On May 29, 2024, a Closed meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (SNC, the licensee). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss proprietary information regarding the steam generator (SG) tube inspection report for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (Vogtle),
Unit 1.

On May 13, 2024 (Agencywide Documents and Access Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML24134A059), the meeting was noticed on the NRC public webpage.
By letter dated September 22, 2023 (ML23265A249), SNC submitted information summarizing the results of the SG inspections performed at Vogtle, Unit 1, during refueling outage (RFO) 24.
The licensee provided additional information concerning the inspections in letters dated January 22, and April 25, 2024 (ML24022A221 and ML24116A302, respectively). The SG tube inspection report was submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 5.6.10, Steam Generator Tube Inspection Report.
The NRC staff opened the meeting with introductory remarks and a roll call of the attendees.
The NRC staff and SNC discussed proprietary information and documented key points in a non-public conversation record (ML24151A655).
The meeting adjourned at 11:00 am Eastern Time (ET).
