Subject:
bottom line on MRP-484
- Elliot, I sent an email asking for a public meeng, but I wanted to chat with you "rst.
We are struggling with MRP-484. We dont understand what you are asking us to review.
In a nutshell - TS changes will be submied 5 years aer the licensee submits the capsule results to the NRC How does this jive with licensee having to be in compliance with TS?
o Plant #1 had capsule results that required them to submit an immediate TS change in order to stay in compliance with TS (>18 months) o Plant #2 has capsule results that required them to submit a medium TS change in order to stay in compliance with TS (between 18 and 48 months) o Plant #3 has capsule results that required them to submit a long-term TS in order to stay in compliance (greater than 10 years)
How what does the nutshell mean?
For Plant #1, they do not need to submit the TS change unl 60 months. So, they will be out of TS compliance for 48 months?
For Plant #2, they do not need to submit the TS change unl 60 months. So, they will be out of TS compliance for 12 to 48 months?
For Plant #3, they need to ar"cially submit the TS change 5 years early?
Who is pung pressure to submit early? Someone in the NRC? Some in industry? I dont understand?
Can you help me understand? Can we chat about this? Process/what quesons. Not technical.
We can have the technical discussion during the public meeng.
