SUMMARY
- 2023 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1, 2, 3, AND 4 DOCKET NOS. 50-424, 50-424,52-025, AND 52-026 MEETING NUMBER 20240471 On April 30, 2024, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a virtual Information Meeting (slide presentation) with Question-and-Answer Session to provide the public with information on the annual performance assessment of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1, 2, 3, and 4, for the period of January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
To allow the NRC to effectively engage and maximize public stakeholders the meeting was held remotely through the Microsoft Teams application. Additionally, a telephone bridge line was available. The following documents related to the meeting are available in ADAMS: Meeting Notice (ML24095A022), Annual Assessment Letter for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 1 and 2 (ML24047A129) and Units 3 and 4 (ML24053A356), and the Annual Assessment Meeting Presentation Slides (ML24120A220).
The meeting was conducted from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM eastern time. There were 18 attendees. In summary, the attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC (11),
Southern Nuclear Company (4), and members of the public (3) that did not indicate affiliation with any organization. At the conclusion of the discussion, there was an opportunity for the public to provide comments and ask questions to the NRC staff. There was minimal interaction with the public, which was consistent with the typical annual assessment meetings conducted both in-person (near the station) and virtual settings.
