NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING Licensee: Northern States Power Company, Minnesota Facility: Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant Docket No: 50263 Date and Time: Tuesday, May 7, 2024 Open House from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Hybrid Webinar from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Monticello Community Center, South Bridge Room 505 Walnut Street, Monticello, MN 55362

Purpose:

The NRC staff will host a hybrid meeting to present the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant for 2023, as described in the 2023 annual assessment letter. Following the presentation, the NRC will respond to questions specific to the safety performance of the station and the NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations.

NRC Attendees: Richard Skokowski, Chief, Branch 3, Division of Operating Reactor Safety Chuck Norton, Senior Resident Inspector, Monticello Noah Bolling, Acting Resident Inspector, Monticello Others as designated Public Participation: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments toward regulatory decisions at this meeting.

The NRC staff will provide guidance during the webinar on the methods available to ask a question. Alternatively, questions may be submitted in advance to Richard.Skokowski@nrc.gov.April 24, 2024 Notice of Significant 2 Licensee Meeting
