DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TASK FORCE TRAVELER TSTF-576, REVISION 3, REVISE SAFETY/RELIEF VALVE REQUIREMENTS (EPID L--2019-PMP-0207)
Dear Members of the Technical Specifications Task Force:
By letter dated September 13, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23256A266), the Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for review and approval Traveler TSTF-576, Revision 3, Revise Safety/Relief Valve Requirements (TSTF-576). The NRC staffs draft safety evaluation (SE) of the traveler is enclosed. A draft model SE will be prepared later. Enclosure 2 is a supplement to the staffs SE. The supplement additional background information related to the traveler, but immaterial to the staffs safety findings or wasnt within scope of the SE.
Thirty calendar days are provided for you to comment on any factual errors or clarity concerns contained in the enclosed draft SE. The final SE will be issued after making any necessary changes. To facilitate the NRC staff's review of your comments, please provide a marked-up copy of the draft SE showing proposed changes and provide a summary table of the proposed changes.
