JMZ-23-212 PUBLIC QUANTITY(IES) 45 kilograms uranium, containing 4.5 kgs U-235 ULTIMATE DESTINATION: U.S. (returned), UK, and EURATOM DESCRIPTION OF MATERIAL($) OR FACILITY(IES)

This license is amended to: 1) increase the quantity of uranium (U) from 15 kgs to 45 kgs and increase the U-235 content from 1.5 kgs to 4.5 kgs with an enrichment level not to exceed 10%;

and 2) update the company point of contact.

The licensee is authorized to export 45 kgs uranium, enriched to 10 WGT% maximum, containing up to 4.5 kgs of U-235 in the form of U02 and/or mixed U02-U308 powder for down-blending and fabrication into approximately 6% enriched fuel for use in lead test assemblies that will be returned to the U.S. Any excess fabricated fuel will be returned to the U.S. DOE or down blended under 5% enriched and used in nuclear power plants within the UK and/or EURATOM countries.

Condition 1 The material to be exported under this license shall be shipped in accordance with the physical protection requirements for special nuclear material in 10 CFR Part 71 and 10 CFR Part 73.

Condition 2 This license authorizes export only and does not authorize the receipt, physical possession, or use of the nuclear material.

Condition 3 The shipper shall complete and submit a DOE/NRC Form 741 for each shipment of uranium, thorium, and plutonium (i.e., source or special nuclear material) exported under this license.
