RECOMMENDATION AND REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF DECOMMISSIONING TECHNICAL REVIEWER QUALIFICATION FOR LOUIS CAPONI As provided for in Section 1248-08 (Qualification Board) of the NRC Inspection Manual Chapter (IMC)-1248, Formal Qualifications Program for Federal and State Material and Environmental Management Programs, dated April 19, 2013, this memorandum recommends that Louis Caponi be granted qualification as a Qualified Decommissioning Technical Reviewer, under IMC-1248, Appendix G.
A qualification board was held on March 21, 2024, with the board consisting of Gregory Chapman, Jack Parrott, and myself as chair. The board recommends qualification of Louis Caponi, as he has completed all of his required activities and successfully defended his knowledge at the board. The board did recommend two look ups and those have been completed.
Attached to this memorandum is a copy of his qualification card and a draft certificate.
