Dear Dr. Hawari:
By letter dated July 31, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23212A973), North Carolina State University (NCSU) applied for an amendment to Facility Operating License No. R-120 for the North Carolina State University PULSTAR Nuclear Research Reactor. The license amendment request (LAR) proposes technical specification changes regarding reportable events.
By email dated January 10, 2024 (ML24010A219), NCSU requested to withdraw the application.
Accordingly, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff ceased review of the LAR.
