As requested by your letter dated January 24, 2024, enclosed is C ertificate of C ompliance No. 9379, Revision No. 1, for the Model No. 1105-SD package. Changes made to the enclosed certificate are indicated by vertical lines in the margin. The staff's safety evaluation report is also enclosed.
Orano Federal Services LLC is registered as a certificate holder and user of the package under the general license provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 71.17, General license: NRC approved package, or 49 CFR 173.471, Requirements for U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved packages. The approval constitutes authority to use the package for shipment of radioactive material and for the package to be shipped in accordance with the provisions of 49 CFR 173.471.

SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-9379 Model No.1105-SD Certificate of Compliance No. 9 379 Revision No. 1 EVALUATION
By letter dated January 24, 2024, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML24024A239), Orano Federal Services LLC requested renewal of Certificate of C ompliance (CoC) No. 9379, for the Model No. 1105-SD package. There have been no changes to the use or design of the package since its last approval and no other changes were requested.
The certificate has been updated to Revision No. 1.
CONDITIONS
The following changes have been made to the CoC:
Item No.3.a was revised with the new address of the certificate holder.
Condition No. 10 extends the validity of Revision No. 0 of the certificate to March 31, 2024.
Condition No. 11 (previously numbered 10) was updated to reflect the March 31, 2029, expiration date of Revision No. 1 of the certificate.
CONCLUSION
Based on the statements and representations in the renewal request, the staff finds that these changes do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.
