This is to acknowledge receipt of your submittals dated January 25, 2024, transmitting Framatomes Integrated Safety Analysis Summary Annual Update (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML24025C693), and Framatomes Summary of Facility Changes Made during Calendar Year (CY) 2023 (ADAMS Accession Number ML24025C730).
The staff from the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, Division of Fuel Management, completed a preliminary review and referred your submittal to the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region 2 inspection staff for further evaluation and follow-up, as needed.
Regarding the Summary of the CY 2023 Facility Changes, as discussed in Staff Requirements Memorandum for SECY-16-0009, Recommendations Resulting from the Integrated Prioritization and Re-Baselining of Agency Activities (ADAMS Accession Number ML16104A158), the NRC licensing staff is no longer performing detailed reviews of such changes. Therefore, we are referring the CY 2023 Facility Changes to the NRC inspection staff for an evaluation of the changes during a future inspection of your facilitys licensed activities. Please note that no cost activity code is being assigned to this action.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this communication will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from ADAMS. The ADAMS database is accessible from the NRC Web Site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
