Dear Chris,

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received the Louisiana Energy Services LLC (LES) request for interim authority to operate (IATO) the classified information systems in the centrifuge assembly building submitted via letter dated August 7, 2023 (ML23220A008). The NRC staff completed its review and the Authorizing Official approves the IATO until August 1, 2024. The approval has a number of conditions, which are documented in the memo and supporting evaluation dated January 26, 2024, (ML24003A699 non-public), see attached. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that this action required approximately 5 hours5.787037e-5 days <br />0.00139 hours <br />8.267196e-6 weeks <br />1.9025e-6 months <br /> of review, which corresponds to about $1,500.00

($300.00/hr). These hours were charged to EPID 000225/07003103/L-2021-LLL-0007, "LES Classified Network Reaccreditation and 000222/07003103/L-2019-PMP-0015, Project Management for Urenco USA. These EPIDS will remain open to support future work related to LES.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this memorandum will be available for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or electronically from the publicly available records component of ADAMS. The PDR is currently open Monday-Friday by appointment only.
