- 3) Letter from NRC to NFS, Amendment 19 - Approval of Uranium Purification and Conversion Services (U-Metal Project), dated November 7, 2023 NFS U-Metal Facility Layout Information By our letter dated November 18, 2021, Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) submitted a License Amendment Request (LAR) for U-Metal at the NFS Site (Reference 2). By letter dated November 7, 2023 (Reference 3) NRC issued Amendment 19 to SNM-124 for the U-Metal Project. Moving forward into the construction phase, NRC staff requested facility layout information in support of developing the construction oversight plan. NFS hereby submits additional supplemental background information to support the construction oversight process.
