Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is an application, accepted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on December 12, 2023, from Nordion (Canada) Inc., requesting an amendment to their current active license PXB3.14, for the export of Category 1 and Category 2 quantities of Co-60, contained in sealed sources for disposition to Canada.
The purpose of the amendment is to revise the list of U.S. Parties to the Export.
As a matter of process, and in accordance with 10 CFR 110.81 the application will be public for 30 days before the NRC takes any action. If no dissenting comments are received, and all applicable legal requirements are satisfied, the NRC will issue the amended license, after the 30-day public comment period.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions to Licensing Officer, George Moose at George.Moose@nrc.gov and/or Licensing Assistant, Charlese Smith at charlese.smith@nrc.gov
Sincerely,
1/2/2024 X Peter J. Habighorst
