Communications during exam:

Question Number Asked By Question/Comment Action Taken by proctor.

S94 SRO Applicant Asked if door number should be RAM2-2, vice RM2-2 as stated in the question.

Proctor double-checked the question (key) and the reference provided (Enclosure C 35.000.242) and stated to examinee that the question, as worded, is correct and refers to door RM2-2.

R04 SRO Applicant Asked what is meant by DIRECT and if it implied that operator actions would be taken into account for the direct result.

The proctor stated to answer the question based on the direct response of the plant for the conditions given in the stem and reiterated per NUREG-1021 Section 1.2, Guidelines for Taking NRC Exams, Paragraph B.8, you should assume that no operator actions have been taken, unless the stem of the question or the answer choices specifically state otherwise.

R04 RO Applicant Asked what is meant by DIRECT. He stated that a turbine trip will occur and a RFP trip (due to the conditions in the stem), but that a scram will occur later (due to lowering level).

The proctor stated to answer the question based on the direct response of the plant for the conditions given in the stem and that all information needed to answer the question is given in the stem.

R19 RO Applicant Asked what was meant by ONLY in Option A and if this means that it was indications of a non-confirmed fire.

The proctor stated that all information needed to answer the question was given in the question and that ONLY means that no other indications were received, other than that specified in option A (i.e., to consider the indications given in each option separately).

S90 SRO Applicant Stated that Both A and B are conditions and actions directed by the AOP (for loss of control air) and that he could not differentiate between the two.

I stated that all information needed to answer the question was given in the question.

S91 SRO Applicant Did not end up asking a question after he brought this up to the proctors desk.
