ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF WITHDRAWAL OF AN EMERGENCY LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR A ONE-TIME EXTENSION OF THE CONTROL ROOM EMERGENCY VENTILATION SYSTEM (CREVS) TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (EPID L-2023-LLA-0076)
Dear Mr. Rhoades:
By letter dated June 2, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23156A216), Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG) requested an emergency amendment to the Calvert Cliffs Operating License Nos DPR-53 and DPR-69. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining a one-time extension to Technical Specification 3.7.8, Control Room Emergency Ventilation System (CREVS), Action C.1 Completion Time, from 7 days to 16 days, for one train of the CREVS that was inoperable due to the emergency power supply for the train being inoperable. The one-time extension was to support troubleshooting, repairs, and return to service testing of the 1A Diesel Generator. Subsequently, by letter dated June 7, 2023 (ML23158A061), CEG withdrew the emergency amendment request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as having been withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
