This license is amended to: 1) increase the quantity of radioactive waste to be exported from 60,000 kilograms (kg) to 800,000 kg.; 2) increase the activity of all shipments from 0.05 terabecquerels (TBq) to 8.5 TBq; 3) change the radioactive waste description by removing iron-55 and technecium-99, and; 4) adding cesium-137. Residual waste will be returned to the generator of the material.

This license authorizes the export of up to 800,000 kg of solid radioactive waste containing carbon-14, cesium-137, hydrogen-3, cobalt-60, nickel-63, radium-226, strontium-90 and other contaminants in the form of residual ash, residual metal and/or noncombustible material. This material is to be returned to Germany. The maximum quantity of radioactive materials exported shall not exceed 8.5 TBq over the duration of this license.
