Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is an application (XCOM1202/03) dated January 30, 2023, received by the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission from Framatome Inc., requesting an amendment to license XCOM1202/02 for the export of dry conversion process equipment for the conversion of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) to uranium dioxide (UO2) with an enrichment of 5 WGT %
maximum of uranium-235 (U-235), to Japan.
The purpose of the amendment is to extend the validity of the license from December 31, 2023, until December 31, 2028.
Since this is a minor amendment with extension of expiration date only, the NRC plans to issue this license application after 30 days. If you have any questions, please contact Licensing Officer, Gary Langlie and/or Joanne Savoy, Licensing Officer.
