Dear Mr. Moore:
By letter dated December 22, 2022, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML22356A202), Oklo submitted for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs review, a white paper titled Safety Analysis: Initiating Event Analysis as an enclosure to this letter. This white paper describes Oklos systematic search for initiating events for its advanced fission technologies. The NRC staff was asked to perform a review of this paper and provide written feedback. The enclosure to this letter provides the NRC staffs detailed observations for Oklo to consider.
