Preliminary Questions on Revision 1 of Kairos Graphite Materials Qualification Topical Report
Dear Ms. Ellenson,
By letter dated July 8, 2021, Kairos Power, LLC (Kairos) submitted the Graphite Material Qualification for the Kairos Power Fluoride Salt-Cooled High-Temperature Reactor Topical Report, Revision 1 for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review.
Based on the review of the revised report, the NRC staff has developed a set of preliminary questions to improve the NRC staffs understanding of the information included in Revision 1.
The NRC staff requests that Kairos propose times to discuss the preliminary questions submitted via NRC Box email, in a public meeting, which may be closed, as appropriate, to discuss proprietary information. In some instances, preliminary questions may support future requests for additional information (RAIs). Kairos will be advised of the need for RAIs by separate correspondence.
