By letter dated January 4, 2022 (ML22004A333), as supplemented by letters dated August 24, 2022 (ML22236A665) and October 19, 2022 (ML22293B806), X Energy, LLC (X-energy) requested U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and approval of Xe-100 Licensing Topical Report: Control Room Staffing Analysis Methodology, Revision 2 (the topical report (TR)), which addresses the proposed control room staffing analysis methodology for the Xe-100 reactor facility design. As part of its review, the NRC staff developed requests for addition information and sent them to X-energy on August 1, 2022 (ML22235A697) and September 29, 2022 (ML22349A688).
The NRC staff completed its review of the information submitted in the TR and finds that the TR is acceptable as described in the NRC staff draft safety evaluation (SE).
The NRC staff placed a copy of the draft SE in the Box.com folder to which you have access.
Please review the draft SE for proprietary information. Pursuant to Section 2.390 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), the staff determined that the draft SE contains no proprietary information.
