SHINE TECHNOLOGIES, LLC INDIVIDUAL NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND OPPORTUNITY TO REQUEST A HEARING (EPID L-2022-LLA-0163)

Dear Dr. Piefer:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is forwarding the enclosed notice of consideration of issuance of amendment to construction permit and opportunity to request a hearing to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

The notice relates to the SHINE Technologies, LLC (SHINE) application dated October 6, 2022, in which SHINE requested to amend its Construction Permit No. CPMIF-001 for its Medical Isotope Production Facility. The proposed amendment would allow the receipt and possession of special nuclear material contained in neutron detectors necessary for the continued construction of the SHINE Medical Isotope Production Facility.
