Request to Amend License SNM-42 in accordance with the Revised Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP)

Dear Sir or Madam:

BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc., Lynchburg (BWXT NOG-L), is forwarding the enclosed revision to the Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP) for approval under 10 CFR 70.34. BWXT is requesting approval of the changes, which were necessary due to the withdrawal of a confirmatory order communicated via NRC letter dated March 14, 2022.

Enclosure 1 to this letter provides the list of proposed changes to the plan. Enclosure 2 includes the revised copy of the FNMCP with the changes noted in red. Enclosure 3 provides the final copy of the revised FNMCP.

The enclosures contain Confidential Restricted Data and as such must be protected in accordance with 10 CFR 95.
