Indiana Michigan Power Company (l&M), the licensee for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) Units 1 and 2, hereby submits the CNP Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) update as required by 10 CFR 50.71(e), utilizing the guidance published in Reference 1. The reporting period for this update is from October 18, 2020, through May 30, 2022. Reference 2 requires l&M to submit updates to the CNP UFSAR once every Unit 1 fuel cycle, within six months of the end of the refueling outage, not to exceed 24 months from the last submittal. The most recent Unit 1 refueling outage ended May 30, 2022. The last update submittal was provided on April 19, 2021, by Reference 3.

CNP Report of Changes, Tests, and Experiments as required by 10 CFR 50.59(d)(2);
CNP Commitment Change Summary Report as recommended by Nuclear Energy Institute 99-04, "Guidelines for Managing Nuclear Regulatory Commission Commitment Changes;"
Changes to the CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Specification (TS) Bases reflected in updated copies of the TS Bases consistent with CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 TS 5.5.12.d; Changes to the CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Requirements Manuals (TRMs) reflected in updated copies of the TRMs; and Changes and updates to the CNP Fire Protection Program reflected in updated copies of the applicable documents; No changes were made to the CNP Quality Assurance Program Description during the reporting period.
l&M is providing all information on Optical Storage Media (OSM) following guidance from Revision 9 of "Guidance for Electronic Submissions to the NRC," to the extent practical. In some areas of the UFSAR, image resolution is less than the desired 300 pixels per inch. This is primarily seen in older graphics and the l&M logo. Text search capability and page image printing is not affected. provides a summary of the information contained on each disk. Enclosure 2 provides the directory structure and file listing for each disk.
Enclosures 3 and 5 have been reviewed in accordance with the guidance provided in Regulatory Issue Summary 2015-17, "Review and Submission of Updates to Final Safety Analysis Reports, Emergency Preparedness Documents, and Fire Protection Documents," and Enclosure 3 has been determined to contain information to be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390. Therefore, a redacted copy has been provided as Enclosure 4. This letter contains no new or modified regulatory commitments. Should you have any questions, please contact me at (269) 466-2649.
