SUMMARY
OF NOVEMBER 10, 2022, MEETING WITH CONSTELLATION ENERGY GENERATION, LLC, RELATED TO THE PLANNED AMENDMENT TO REVISE THE DESIGN BASIS FOR CERTAIN SUPPRESSION POOL STRUCTURES AND COMPONENTS (EPID L-2022-LRM-0070)
On November 10, 2022, an observation public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and representatives of Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (Constellation). The purpose of the meeting was for the NRC staff to discuss a planned license amendment request (LAR) for LaSalle County Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 (LaSalle). The LAR would revise the design basis for certain suppression pool structures and components. The meeting notice and agenda, dated October 28, 2022, are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22301A045. A list of attendees is provided as the Enclosure.
Constellation presented information related to the planned amendment request for LaSalle (see ML22311A511). The NRC staff queried the licensee on the components related to the planned amendment. The licensee presented a diagram of the components that the planned amendment would apply (see Enclosure 2). The NRC staff stated that the amendment should include details of the analysis performed and a description of the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report revision that the amendment would propose to change.
No members of the public were in attendance. No regulatory decisions were made at this meeting.
