U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF REVIEW OF THE LONG-TERM SURVEILLANCE PLAN FOR THE SLOCK ROCK, COLORADO, DISPOSAL SITE (Docket No. WM-00086)
Dear Stephen Pitton:
By letter dated June 1, 2022, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) submitted the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for review the Long-Term Surveillance Plan for the Slick Rock, Colorado, Disposal Site (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession Number ML22153A501). The NRC staff has reviewed and have several comments (see Enclosure).
If DOE agrees with the comments, please forward the revised plan to NRC for verification that it complies with 10 CFR 40.27(c)(3).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
