COMANCHE PEAK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION

Dear Mr. Peters:

By letter dated October 3, 2022, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22276A082), Vistra Operations Company LLC submitted an application for license renewal of Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-87 and NPF-89 for Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP), Units 1 and 2, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or staff). We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.101(a)(2) (10 CFR 2.101(a)(2)) and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, the NRC staff will issue a schedule for the review, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.102(a).

For your information, we have enclosed a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Sayoc as the project manager for the safety review, and Mr. Tam Tran as the project manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of all license renewal correspondence to Mr. Sayoc and Mr. Tran. Mr. Dennis Galvin is responsible for the project management of all issues other than license renewal for CPNPP.
