SUMMARY
OF THE SEPTEMBER 20, 2022, OBSERVATION PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CARBON FREE POWER PROJECT PLANS TO ADDRESS REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO EMERGENCY PLANNING AND PHYSICAL SECURITY The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held an observation public preapplication meeting on September 20, 2022, with NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) and Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP), LLC, to get an overview of CFPPs plans for addressing regulatory requirements associated with emergency planning and physical security. This meeting also included a closed portion to allow participants discuss proprietary information, including CFPPs methodology and schedule.
The staff made NuScales presentation slides for the open portion of the meeting available to the public prior to the meeting on NRC public meeting web page and via the Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS)1.
