This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The purpose of this preapplication meeting is for NuScale to present its plans to address physical security requirements and its licensing strategy to address emergency planning requirements associated with CFPPs COL application. NuScale letter, dated August 17, 2022, entitled, CFPP Licensing Strategy for Emergency Planning, is in ADAMS with accession number ML22229A510. Portions of this meeting may be closed to discuss proprietary information. Members of the public interested in participating in the meeting should email one of the NRC Meeting Contacts three business days before the meeting to obtain additional information.
