SUMMARY
OF THE SEPTEMBER 13, 2022, OBSERVATION PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CARBON FREE POWER PROJECT PLANS TO SUBMIT A LIMITED WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUEST IN SUPPORT OF THE CARBON FREE POWER PROJECT COMBINED LICENSE APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held an observation public preapplication meeting on September 13, 2022, with NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) and Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP), LLC, to get an overview of CFPPs plans for early construction activities and to submit multiple limited work authorizations (LWA) to the NRC for review and approval. This meeting also included a closed portion to allow participants discuss proprietary information, including CFPPs project schedule and the scope of planned preconstruction and LWA activities.
The staff made NuScales presentation slides for the open portion of the meeting available to the public prior to the meeting on NRC public meeting web page and via the Agency-wide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS)1.
