APPROVAL OF PROPOSED UPDATED RISK-INFORMED SCHEDULE FOR DAM SAFETY INSPECTIONS Based on the information detailed in the report Recommendation for Changing the Inspection Frequency for Ultimate Heat Sink Dams Based on Principles of Risk-Informed Decision-Making (ADAMS Accession No. ML22094A193), and the briefing from the staff on this subject offered on July 27, 2022, I approve the recommended changes for the dam safety inspection schedule. The Dam Safety Officer, Kenneth See, should implement these changes, and coordinate the necessary communication to the pertinent licensees via the corresponding Licensing Project Managers from the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing (DORL), as soon as practicable.
