Kairos Power submitted a Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) (Reference 1) and an Environmental Report (ER) (Reference 2), comprising the Construction Permit Application (CPA) for the Hermes non-power reactor. Subsequent to the initial submittal of these doc uments, Kairos Power made a decision to switch from the 2019 version of the ASME BPVC Section III, Division 5 code to the 2017 version, which is the version that NRC has currently endorsed. This change impacts Chapters 3, 4, and 6 of the PSAR and Chapter 2 of the ER. Changes to the pages of the PSAR and ER are provided in Enclosures 1 and 2, respectively. Kairos Power requests NRC review of these changes as part of the continued review of the Hermes CPA.
