SUMMARY
OF APRIL 7, 2022, CLOSED MEETING WITH FRAMATOME INC. AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION FOR TOPICAL REPORT, ANP-10339P, REVISON 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP INTEGRATED TRANSIENT ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On April 7, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference meeting via Microsoft Teams with representatives from Framatome Inc.
(Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was for the NRC staff and Framatome representatives to discuss the requests for additional information (RAIs) responses received from Framatome on July 31, and November 20, 2020, and June 2, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession Nos. ML20237F488, ML20335A217, and ML21162A080), regarding the Framatome Topical Report ANP-10339P, Revision 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP Integrated Transient Analysis Methodology. The meeting notice is available in ADAMS at Accession No. ML22087A004.
During the meeting, there were discussions between Framatome representatives and the NRC staff regarding RAIs 36, 37, 38, 39, 43, 47, 51, 53, 54, 57, 60, 62, 64, and 65 and planned discussions for the next meeting on April 14, 2022. The NRC staff and Framatome representatives plan to have a final meeting on April 28, 2022, regarding RAI discussions.
Additionally, the NRC staff and Framatome representatives have a 2-day in-person audit planned for April 20-21, 2022, at Framatomes facility in Lynchburg, Virginia.
