REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING REVISIONS TO THE 2015 AND 2016 SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIALS LICENSE NUMBER 960 RENEWAL APPLICATIONS (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2022-LLA-0010)
Dear David Heckman:
This is in regard to your submittal dated January 7, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML22007A083), requesting an amendment to Special Nuclear Material License Number 960 (SNM-960) to include edits to the 2015 and 2016 revisions to the license renewal application (LRA) as cited in Condition 10 of the SNM-960 license. Our review of your request has identified that additional information is needed before final action can be taken. The additional information, specified in the non-public enclosure to this letter, should be provided within 30 days from the date of this letter.
Pending your response, we anticipate completing our review by July 2022. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors.
We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. The PDR is open by appointment only. You may submit your request to the PDR via e-mail at PDR.Resource@nrc.gov or call 1-800-397-4209 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
