SUMMARY
OF MARCH 31, 2022, CLOSED MEETING WITH FRAMATOME INC. AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION FOR TOPICAL REPORT, ANP-10339P, REVISON 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP INTEGRATED TRANSIENT ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 8 AND 41 On March 31, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference meeting via Microsoft Teams with representatives from Framatome Inc.
(Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was for the NRC staff and Framatome representatives to discuss the requests for additional information (RAIs) 8 and 41 responses received from Framatome on March 31, 2020, and June 2, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession Nos. ML20097E582 and ML21162A080) regarding the Framatome Topical Report ANP-10339P, Revision 0, ARITA -
ARTEMIS/RELAP Integrated Transient Analysis Methodology. The meeting notice is available in ADAMS at Accession No. ML22076A254.
During the meeting, there were discussions between Framatome representatives and the NRC staff regarding RAIs 8 and 41, all preliminary limitations and conditions, follow-up RAI discussions from the March 16, 2022, meeting, status of RAIs being evaluated by the NRC staff, and planned discussions for the next meeting on April 7, 2022. The NRC staff and Framatome representatives plan to have additional meetings on April 14 and 28, 2022. Additionally, the NRC staff and Framatome representatives have a 2-day in-person audit planned for April 20-21, 2022, at Framatomes facility in Lynchburg Virginia.
