Dear Mr. Siurano-Perez:
I am writing to request an update to the university offices' roster for SNM License Number 1373. (This change is also relevant to the reactor license, Facility License R-110, Docket No. 50.284, thus, Mr.
Xiaosong Yin is copied on this letter.)
The update is the addition of Dr. Chad Pope as the Chair of the Department of Nuclear Engineering.
As outlined in the 2022 SNM License Renewal Application the minimum qualifications for the Chair of the Department of Nuclear Engineering are as follows:
PhD or equivalent education At least 2 years of experience related to nuclear reactor operations (need not have power reactor experience)
As indicated in the attached curriculum vitae, Dr. Chad Pope exceeds these minimum qualifications:
Dr. Pope holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and has over thirty years of professional experience.in nuclear engineering; nine of which are with Idaho State University's Department of Nuclear Engineering and Idaho State University's AGN-201m reactor.
These requested changed are reflected in the attached "Idaho State University Roster of Officials for Materials License SNM-1373, Docket No. 70-1374."
