SUMMARY
OF MARCH 3, 2022, CLOSED MEETING WITH FRAMATOME INC. AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TO DISCUSS FRAMATOME TOPICAL REPORT, ANP-10339P, REVISON 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP INTEGRATED TRANSIENT ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION QUESTIONS 13, 20, 58, 61, AND 62 On March 3, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference meeting via Microsoft Teams with representatives from Framatome Inc.
(Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Framatome Topical Report (TR)
ANP-10339P, Revision 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP Integrated Transient Analysis Methodology Request for Additional information (RAI) Questions 13, 20, 58, 61, and 62. The associated RAI question 13, 20, 58, 61 and 62, responses were received on March 31, July 31, November 20, 2020, and June 2, 2021 ((Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession Nos. ML20097E582, ML20237F488, ML20335A217, and ML21162A080)). This meeting was a follow-up to the closed meeting held on February 17, 2022 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML22081A317).
During the meeting, there were discussions between Framatome representatives and the NRC staff regarding RAIs 13, 20, 58, 61, and 62, related preliminary limitations and conditions, several associated Table 9-1, Assessment Data and Associated Model Uncertainty Parameters, parameters, planned discussions for next meeting scheduled for March 16, 2022, and next steps. The NRC staff and Framatome representatives plan to continue the periodic RAIs discussions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Framatome representatives and the NRC staff aligned on potential discussion topics for the next closed RAI discussion. That meeting was held on March 16, 2022 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML22080A116).
