SUMMARY
OF FEBRUARY 3, 2022, CLOSED MEETING WITH FRAMATOME INC. AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION FOR TOPICAL REPORT, ANP-10339P, REVISON 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP INTEGRATED TRANSIENT ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY RESPONSES TO REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On February 3, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference meeting via Microsoft Teams with representatives from Framatome Inc.
(Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was for the NRC staff and Framatome representatives to discuss the request for additional information (RAI) 9 response received from Framatome on March 31, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML20097E582) regarding the Framatome Topical Report ANP-10339P, Revision 0, ARITA - ARTEMIS/RELAP Integrated Transient Analysis Methodology. The meeting notice is available in ADAMS at Accession No. ML22019A242.
During the meeting, there were discussions between Framatome representatives and the NRC staff regarding RAI 9, including several parameters in Table 9-1, Assessment Data and Associated Model Uncertainty Parameters, and Table 9-2, Model Uncertainty Parameter Treatment, and planned discussions for the next meeting. The NRC staff and Framatome representatives plan to continue discussions on a few of the Table 9-1 parameters, and RAIs 11 and 57 at the next meeting planned for February 17, 2022.
