Title:

NRC's Digital Instrumentation and Controls (D&IC) Workshop: Licensing and Inspection Lessons Learned from Recent D&IC Modernization Projects Date(s) and Time(s): March 23, 2022, 09:00 AM to 04:30 PM ET Location: Webinar Category: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

NRC staff will share insights and lessons learned in applying regulatory tools for digital instrumentation and controls (I&C) modernization projects. This workshop will primarily focus on NRC and industry perspectives on the licensing and inspection lessons learned from recent digital I&C modernization projects, and Human Factor Engineering (HFE) reviews including Integrated System and Multi-stage Validation (ISV and MSV) Testing.

Members of the public and Utilities interested in plant modernization are encouraged to attend.
