60-day report to January 4, 2022 incident reported under 10 CFR 70 Appendix A Concurrent Report (NRC Event 55686); Framatome Richland Facility; License No.
SNIV1-1227; Docket No. 70-1257 On January 3, 2022, the Framatome Richland facility reported to NRC that 10 or more of their employees had tested positive for an infectious or contagious disease that is the subject of a public health emergency.
The initial report was made because the condition required reporting to the Washington State Division of Occupational Safety and Health per RCW 49.17.062 (l)(a) and 10CFR 70 Appendix A required a concurrent report to the NRC. This follow up report is being submitted to comply with 10 CFR 70.74 (b).
Caller Identification The condition was reported to the NRC Operations Center by Calvin Manning, Framatome Manager of Licensing and Compliance, on January 3, 2022 at 1042 ET. Mr. Manning's telephone number is (509) 375-8237.
Date, Time, and Exact Location of Incident The reportable condition was created on January 3, 2022 at approximately 1615 PT. The location was Framatome's Richland facility at 2101 Horn Rapids Road, Richland WA 99354.
Incident Description On January 3, 2021 at approximately 1615 the Framatome Horn Rapids Road HR manager notified Washington State Division of Occupational Safety and Health that the Richland Fuel Fabrication site hit a Framatome Inc.

Health and Safety Consequences Framatome has reviewed our COVID-19 procedures and protocols and did not find a condition that appears unsafe or violates a WISHA standard as it relates to the employees who recently tested positive for COVID-19. These cases do not appear to be worker-to-worker transmissions of the virus.
External Conditions No significant external conditions were identified.
Status of the Event State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries reviewed and approved Framatome's prevention strategy for COVID-19 and found them to be robust. The referral notice has been closed.
Notifications to Other Agencies Washington State Division of Occupational Safety and Health Inclusion in Integrated Safety Analysis NA.
