- 2. Use the following text for the purpose and scope of the amendment:
By letter dated December 9, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML19345E594), as supplemented on May 13, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20143A102), February 25, 2021 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML21067A041), April 20, 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21118A043),
and September 2, 2021 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML21251A529), NAC International (NAC) submitted an application for Amendment No. 10 to the Model No.
MAGNASTOR storage cask. The application proposes to add a new metal storage overpack.
- 3. The proposed certificate of compliance (CoC), Technical Specifications (TS), and preliminary safety evaluation report (SER) have been placed in ADAMS (see references below) and are available for your use in the rulemaking package. The Division of Fuel Management will designate these documents as Official Agency Records after the Executive Director for Operations has approved the rulemaking package (ADAMS Package No. ML22026A519).
The Office of the General Counsel has reviewed this memorandum with its referenced documents and has no legal objection to its contents.
