On December 16, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML21337A284), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a partially closed observation meeting with representatives from Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC (WEC). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the contents and staffs plans for review of the following four white papers associated with the eVinci reactor:

Kennedy The above mentioned reports are withheld from public disclosure and a portion of this meeting was closed in accordance with the determination made by the NRC staff pursuant to the provisions set forth in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 2, Section 2.390, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding (ADAMS Accession No. ML21349A223).
In the open portion of this meeting, WEC described its strategy for the development and eventual submittal of 16 white papers for the eVinci reactor, of which those discussed at this meeting represent the first four. WEC also provided a high-level description of the contents of the four white papers and the feedback that they are seeking from the NRC staff. WEC stated that it is requesting observations and insights from the NRC staff regarding the white papers, not safety findings. Some of the white papers may inform a future topical report on the subject; the white paper is the first step in the evolution of the topical reports.
