Framatome intends to Request a Letter Authorization utilizing Docket No. 71 -9372, Framatome TN-81 Shipping Container.

Framatome Inc. (Framatome) wishes to inform the NRG that we intend to formally request a letter authorization utilizing Certificate of Compliance 9372 for the TN-B1 packaging for up to two shipments between mid-March 2022 and ending no later than July 2022. This request is to support data gathering during road tests and provide for the safe transport of a small number of Framatome channeled BWR fresh fuel assemblies with a few changes to the TN-B1 packaging requirements. The changes are directed to support improved vibration performance and a thicker fuel channel side thickness.
This request for a Letter Authorization will be submitted mid-December 2021.
