APPLICATION FOR THE MODEL NO. TN-32B PACKAGE - ACCEPTANCE LETTER
Dear Mr. Narayanan:
By letter dated August 19, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Package Accession No. ML21231A189), TN Americas LLC submitted an application for approval of the Model No. TN-32B package. The application is for a one-time transportation of the DOE-EPRI High Burnup (HBU) Demonstration Project Cask.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff performed an acceptance review of your application and determined that it contains the necessary information to begin our detailed technical review. The schedule allows for the NRC staff to issue a possible request for additional information by the end of April 2022, and, if no additional information is needed, issue a certificate of compliance in November 2022. The staff estimates that completing the safety review of this application will require approximately 850 staff hours.
Please reference Docket No. 71-9377 and Enterprise Project Identifier (EPID) No. EPID L-2021-NEW-0010 in future correspondence related to this request.
