PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

Title:

FORTHCOMING TELECONFERENCE WITH THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TASK FORCE (TSTF) REGARDING SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS THAT REFERENCE THE INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM AND 10 CFR 50.69 CATEGORIZATION

Date(s) and Time(s):October 01, 2021, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET

Location: Teleconference

Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

To discuss the industry position related to Surveillance Requirements (SRs) that reference the Inservice Testing Program (IST) and the need for TS changes if those systems are recategorized under 10 CFR 50.69. On June 4, the TSTF provided a draft of an industry position paper (ADAMS Accession No. ML21155A160) and on July 1, the NRC provided feedback on the industry position (ADAMS Accession No. ML21266A412). There is no meeting agenda because the meeting is an open dialogue.
