ST. LUCIE PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Coffey:
By letter dated August 3, 2021, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML21215A314), Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) submitted an application for subsequent license renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-67 and NPF-16 for St. Lucie Plant (SLP), Units 1 and 2, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or staff). We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 2.101(a)(2) and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, the NRC staff will issue a schedule for the review, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.102(a).
For your information, we have enclosed a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Lois James as the project manager for the safety review, and Mr. Lance Rakovan as the project manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of all license renewal correspondence to Ms. James and Mr. Rakovan. Mr. Michael Mahoney is responsible for the project management of all issues other than license renewal for SLP.
