Attn: Michael Keller HPT, LLC: Stakeholder Feedback on 10 CFR 53 and associated documents Date:

Friday, May 28, 2021 9:19:21 AM Mr. Keller,

Thank you for your feedback letter provided on May 11, 2021 related to the white paper Risk-Informed and Performance-Based Human-System Considerations for Advanced Reactors issued by the NRC staff on March 25, 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21069A003).

This white paper has been the subject several public meetings and will continue to be discussed in the coming months as the topics are further refined. Receiving and considering feedback from stakeholders like yourself in the development of the paper is a valuable part of our licensing and regulatory activities and is consistent with our principles of good regulation.

Comments within the letter that are specific to the proposed 10 CFR 53 rulemaking have also been captured by the NRC staff. The official comment period for the draft 10 CFR 53 rule language will occur sometime in the fall of 2022 and will be formally announced in the Federal Register.

Thanks again for your interest and continued involvement in the ongoing advanced reactor activities.
