Title:
Cost Benefit Guidance Update Meeting Identifier: 20210555 Date: May 19, 2021 Location: Webinar and Teleconference Category: Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session Purpose of the Meeting: To present four draft appendices to NUREG/BR-0058, Revision 5, Regulatory Analysis Guidelines of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, to facilitate public comment.
General Details: The meeting was attended by 11 members of the public and 12 members of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff via Webinar and/or teleconference.
Summary of Presentation: The NRC staff provided an overview of the four new appendices and discussed how they are related to the NRCs cost benefit guidance update. The staff also provided an opportunity for the public to ask clarifying questions.
Summary of Public Feedback: The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) asked a question on the schedule for current and future cost benefit guidance updates.
Action Items/Next Steps:
The public comment period for the four draft appendices closes on June 15, 2021. The NRC staff will review and evaluate formal comments received on the draft appendices to inform the development of the final appendices for Commission review and approval.
